Suspension of road license

(1) If a public vehicle with a road license in accordance with this Act cannot be driven for four months or more due to an accident or any other reason, the owner of the vehicle shall attach the road license and submit an application to the authorized officer for the suspension of such road license. (2) If an application is made as per sub-section (1), the authorized officer may suspend the road license of such vehicle for the period during which such public vehicle cannot be driven, after conducting the necessary investigation.
(2a) If public vehicles do not operate on the roads specified in the road license and obstruct the transport services in such a way as to adversely affect people's lives, the Government of Nepal may suspend the road license of such vehicles for a maximum period of one month.
(3) According to sub-section (2), the renewal fee for the suspension period of the road license shall be waived.
